Home Security: What Attracts A Home Burgler Permalink | Comments Off

We all think about it at one point or another. Is my home safe from burglars and intruders? It is important to know the factors that put your home at risk of being burglarized. One thing that definitely makes your home a target is overgrown or excessive bushes and trees. Alongside this line is poor lighting. Not only can burglars hide with ease, but they will not be noticed going through your window if it is covered by trees and not properly lit. Professional burglars spend days casing out the perfect house. If you always leave the house without locking the door or you like to leave the windows open, it makes it that much easier for someone to enter. Another thing they look for is routine. Make sure you switch up your routine every couple of days; this will make it harder for them to predict when you will and won’t be home. Security systems are a great way to fend off burglars; however, they can be quite costly. The mere placement of a security system sign in your front lawn can put off potential intruders. Last but not least, know your neighbors. If your neighbors are familiar with who goes in and out of your home regularly, they will be more alert when they see a stranger lurking around your property. You thought this was good?
